Welcome to South Aiken Baptist Church! 
We are delighted to introduce you to our pastor, Trevor Lightbody. 

While Pastor Trevor answered the call to begin his Inaugural Pastoral Role with us in late summer 2023, he’s no stranger to the area. Pastor Trevor grew up in Aiken, SC before graduating from both the University of South Carolina and University of Iowa. While in graduate school in Iowa, God spoke to Trevor through a mentor’s discipleship and He reignited Trevor’s devotion to God’s Word and created a newfound love and desire to teach It to others.

After graduate school, he began his career as an actuary which took him to Wisconsin and then back to South Carolina. However, throughout that time, God continued to grow the love for His Word within Trevor’s heart, and with that the continued desire to teach and spread the Good News. That led to Trevor pursuing his MDIV at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Continuing to trust and follow God, Trevor has graciously accepted the role of pastor at South Aiken Baptist Church.  This is the Church’s 12th pastor in her 70+ years. 

Pastor Trevor and his wife, Katie, have three children: Cooper, Sam, and Ellie. In his free time, you will find his enjoying time with his family, reading, studying (still working on the degree!), drinking coffee, enjoying the outdoors, or trying to sneak in a workout.
